    Something I can put down to sit on and not get a wet arse. Probably a bit of foam bedroll kept under the flap of my daypack would do the trick

    got an unused Kuiu glassing pad if interested? pretty light and has a tab on each corner that you can clip straps through so you don't lose it

    I use a square of ripstop nylon. I originally had it left over from making waterproof over mittens for leather motorcycle gloves after I lost the 0riginal ones. Works a treat, water proof, wind proof and if the weather truns to crap it can be used as a bandanna to retain heat from the head.... About a metre square and weighs about the same as two hankies....Got it from here a few years back at $5 per metre....HARALDS Warehouse | HARALDS Warehouse | Christchurch, Canterbury An old school type shop.
