Opening Up Barrel Channel On Carbon Stock

I have a Howa Mini 6mm ARC and have been offered a Stocky’s Carbon Fibre Stock for a good price .
The problem is that the stock is for a Standard contour barrel and mine is a Varmint. ( the Mini Varmint isn’t that big in diameter ) .
I have opened up barrel channels before on other stocks , but have never played with Carbon .
Is there enough meat in the Carbon outer to open up the barrel channel without breaking through to the inner core ?
Anyone done this or have an opinion?

    Cheers

    Ken

I doubt the barrel channel is lined with carbon fiber anyhow it will just be bare filler so have at it
    270 is a harmonic divisor number[1]
270 is the fourth number that is divisible by its average integer divisor[2]
270 is a practical number, by the second definition
The sum of the coprime counts for the first 29 integers is 270
270 is a sparsely totient number, the largest integer with 72 as its totient
Given 6 elements, there are 270 square permutations[3]
    10! has 270 divisors
270 is the smallest positive integer that has divisors ending by digits 1, 2, …, 9.

    OK ,
I just assumed that the barrel channel would be lined with Carbon and be part of the Carbon outer shell .
I’ll try and get hold of the guy ( he’s away at the moment) and ask if the channel is Carbon lined .

The only stocks I have seen that are completely carbon including the barrel channel were the ones Ken Henderson made before his passing. Not sure what they are like now Hardy has them.

Did a howa stock, American may be Alpine, got it from broncos, went though the fibreglass in a few places so had to dig it all out and replace it, fiddly but got there in the end, glad I masked the rest of the stock well though, messy

The Ken one I got was open with no carbon lining. That was before hardy.
Best stock with full carbon everywhere is Precision Platforms
    CNC Machining
