Opinions on Remington 700 VTR .223

I will be getting a redundancy payout soon and will be spending some on a new rifle so have already started looking at brands and types of 223. Does anyone on the forum own one of these? Remington 700 VTR Centrefire Rifle - Hunting and Outdoor Supplies.
What i want to know is, is the triangle barrel with the built in break going to be any good or is it just a gimmick? Is there any other recommendations that people could make. Looking at spending $ 2000 including scope. Any info appreciated.

Break on a 223 seems a bit redundant.
    Looks cool though.
I have an SPS 700 223 varmint with 18" barrel and Bell and Carlson stock. Shoots well.

Umm how do you suppress it cos you'll want to for sure. Looks heavy ish to carry. My favourite 223 at the moment ? Tikka T3 in MDT LSS chassis. 10 shots through 10 cent hole at any time with cheap 55 grain metal jacket ammo .
That is a nice looking gun though but do you need all that weight for 223?

Yep i know there will no doing anything with the rifle as the barrel limits a suppressor so thats why i asked about the break. I dont mind the weight and at the moment just looking at my options as the funds are a few weeks away. cheers.
