I've never seen a K95 before. They look pretty sweet! WANT

I’ve mucked around for a couple of years trying to find what the best scope is for a slim single shot. I tried the the 30mm tube scopes and just found them too chunky for a single shot. Scopes with a 50mm bell were also a little out of proportion. The scopes I have on now are near perfect for my needs. On the 15” 308 suppressed barrel I have a leupold 2.5-8 with cds. On the 7mm mag barrel I use a leupold 3.5-10 with cds. The 3.5-10 is fine for me out to 600 yards on a shoulder sized target.
If I was to do it all again with only one barrel I would go for a 308 , no suppressor, no barrel chop and put a leupold vx3hd 3.5-10cds zl on it and run with the 168 eldm at a modest muzzle velocity. This would have you covered for most shots from 30 yards to 450-500.

Dirty old Bergara with a dirty old goat (also known as dinner in Northland). As above, scope is a Leupold VX3i 1.5-5x20. Seems about right.

Nice one. Can you explain the sling arrangement there please?

Google Z-Aim sling. Same principle, but homemade for pennies. For when you absolutely need the rifle to stay on your shoulder when you're doing stupid shit like climbing up a steep bluff and two hands need to be free.

Enjoy....but lets have some K95's. I know that @MB and I can't afford them, but we still like looking at them....and dreaming.....

It is mate and so far I’ve been more consistent shooting it as well. Have had the odd frustrating day at the range when I had the 4-12 on

Hi TT , thanks for your comment on scopes for the k95, you are pretty much on the mark with what I've been thinking of going for the new model VX3 HD 3.5-10 × 40.
I have swarovski 3- 10 x42 on another rifle and its great but doesn't have bt for those longer shots which is a shame as it would be perfect so the Leopold was the next best I thought. The Z5 2.4 - 12 x50 is a contender but I was of the same opinion as you that it looks slightly out of place on these lightweight rifles, I need to see one to compare it with the Leopold . Also interested in your comments regarding the suppressor and barrel chop. I've purposely left mine at the factory length before I decide on the suppressor option, so some good information from you on everything I have been going over , thanks. I was surprised at your comment on what you would choose if you did this again regarding caliber, suppressor, barrel length, and load ,all good information and considerations that I've been going over in my mind to get it right with a pricey weapon like the k95.
    Cheers
