    Optics VfM

I'm scopeless and need one ~300m. Any recommendations that won't break the bank?

You'll get a lot of answers I suppose, all around brands. Personally, I have progressively replaced scopes on my rifles with Vortex. They are economic and decent quality. A second hand BDC reticle 3-9x40 could be picked up for ~$350ish. Anything less and youre probably talking Nikko Stirling or a cheap and cheery bushnell.

Vixen, I discovered them when Nikon when out of scopes. Made in Japan by a telescope company.
Have a 4-16x44 V1 on a 223 . happy with that for the dollars. Yes sure you can buy better.

The V1 range is at the budget end of the market. I would suggest you do some google searches for some reviews.
The V11 and V111 are over the $1000 mark so I'm assuming that's out for this instance.
Besides for me spending over a grand I would like to get my hands on it first which i can't do in northland.Z
