The other day I ordered an EGW picatinny base for a Savage L/A and Opticsplanet emailed me back saying it's on hold because of export restrictions and saying I need an important license.. I thought I heard they sent scopes to NZ with no problems?
If anyone can help/suggest way around the problem that would be great

I just bought a Weaver 20 MOA base for my rifle, no issues, except their international sales unit must be missing a few chromosomes I reckon.

stop buying from opticsplanet, they're terrible and never ship, for like the thousandth time

Do they do refunds?

That's weird how you had no problems and they won't ship mine..

I had problems of a different kind. I order two items, and they sent them in two separate consignments. I got raped big time on shipping. Like I said, a bunch of mongoloids.

Go direct to EGW.

For those of us who aren't the fizziest bottle in the crate, who are EGW?

I don't know what else they make but I have 2 rails so I know they make rails

I bought a scope from them in December last year, easy communication, and fast delivery, no hassles whatsoever...
But their shipping was typical US pricey, still it was a load cheaper than here.
You can talk to them on-line, I did that as it said my scope had export restrictions...
I spend ~95% locally for my shooting habit.

Got mine direct from EGW. Also I have bought 3 scopes and other stuff from "webyshops" and found them cheep and they ship stuff others wont.
