    Optilock Screws

Sooo... I bought some second hand optilocks and the screws are poked.

I didn't fancy paying $14 a pop for screws so managed to track some down that fit but the head is too big.

How do I reduce them at home?

Was thinking a drill and some sandpaper but don't want it to end up all nasty...I bought 32 of them since it was a stupid long drive and once they're sorted I'll sell the rest.

    Any suggestions?

Sorted it with a drill and a flat file.

    Took 30 seconds each screw....

Nice to have a 2.5mm hex head also.

2.5mm Hex head after taking it down compared to the threaded torx...

The head sits a bit proud compared to the original but is much better to use.
Original screw on the left with the new taken down version in the middle and the screw before its filed on the right.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

More than the original blued ones? I doubt it.

Gonna get them coated in duracoat anyhow!
