Thread: Out of adjustment

I put the Contessa rail on and different rings, sat up quite a bit higher but still way to low. It’s also for sale but mounting g up in the mean time to see if it’ll do

Will take the risk that I can’t sort it.

Can you post a bit more detail of the scope model and mounts ?

Have either the scope, rifle or ammo ever shot better than this ?

I once had trouble with 2 piece optilocks where the big screw holding the rings onto the base had come loose after 1000 rounds. Shots were going about a foot low but inconsistently. Wasted a bit of ammo and it took a while to find. You dcant see it unless you take the base off the action. The scope did rattle in the end. Tightened the screw and it’s fixed.

Could you also confIrm whether you’ve checked there isn’t a whole lot more adjustment range available if you shift whatever zero stop mechanism you have ? A scope will usually have over a metre vertical range at 100m.
