Thread: P17 barrel

Can a P17 barrel with a coned breech be fitted to a P14? Initial google research sort of says yes but would be nice to hear some advice.
Same threads, looks like there are more on the photos I've seen of P17 barrels so it could be machined back a little to suit the bolt.
Thinking of possibilities for my project. Preloved but still good barrel for these actions are few on the ground and being 30 cal, one of these opens up a lot of different cartridge possibilities for my project further down the road.
