Hi all. Has anyone painted their rifles to blend into NZ fauna? If so, what was the process and how did it come out? Thanks

seen plenty that blend into the floura..... tape it up good and just go for it...you can remove it easily with tape if not happy with it after awhile. scratchfil primer is matt finish and in neutral colours... wouldnt do it to a sako or anything with high retail value, but a good covering with insulation tape protects rifle rather well.. @Dundee should well remember a certain .223 that was covered from one end to the other with green insulation tape...it shot a LOT of animals.
75/15/10 black powder matters
I think you mean blend in with NZ flora (plants), not fauna (animals).
One of my rifles has the classic black & green camo pattern on it's fibreglass stock, but it was already like that when I bought it in 1992 so I don't know what paint was used. It isn't very durable and I occasionally fill in the white bits with a black vivid marker.
I think Ryan Songhurst painted a stock not too long ago?
Order online, I bought the white from bunnings but now only available online and the gold came from an importer in Auckland but was easy enough to order, comes in plenty other colors

I just used a few different brown and greens and just splattered it on until it looked camo, came out pretty good. The paint does chip and scratch but that almost improves the effect.
Don't know why that posted twice, only pic of that gun I could find, painted the scope on it at the same time
