    Peltor Earmuffs

Yeah I no this topic has been thrashed..
Anyone got the Peltor Tactical 6s electronic earmuffs?
    Or Peltor SportTac?
Just wondering if they are any better than the Howard Leights, have a few pairs of them just looking for something better. Thanks

I've had the sportac's for a few years now and think they're really good, with the volume right up I can hear better than without earmuffs on. I can't compare them to any other brands though sorry.

A mate had Peltor 6s's, and once he tried my HL's he sold the Peltors.
Slightly slimmer and less issues with interference between muffs and stock.
Sound reducing - there was no difference between them, that we could notice anyway.
Price wise the HL's are cheaper.

I and a few mates up the range rate the sport tacs, comfy and long battery life, stereo sound and clear speech while noise is happening

I have had some 6S for about 10 yrs
They have finally given up the ghost on 1 side
I prefer the profile over the Howard Lights but depends on how you hold a gun in regards to your neck and cheek etc
I can shoot with H10As but a lot of people find they clash with the stock
The Mrs uses the HL, not sure what I'm going to replace them with at this stage

I have the peltors and yes the HL's are way better. Wish I'd bought the HL's, but I got my peltors for $25 each in USA so can't complain.
They eat batteries and dead easy to leave permanently on. I make my boy wear them if we're shooting with the shottie.

MSA Sordin is the way to go. Make sure you get the gel ear pads.

I like the look of those. I think I need to own some. Any drama ordering them from that site?

Steve at Triad Tactical, Inc.*::*MISC Shooting Gear*::*MSA/Sordin Supreme Pro-X is good to deal with. If there's a group buy on the MSA I'll be in to replace my Peltor Sport Tac's. They don't seal as well as I'd like so if someone is after an as new set PM me with an offer (sorry for the hijack).

Back on topic, the Sport Tacs were way better than the Tac 6S I had but they too didn't fit me very well either. I keep going back to the Peltor Grade 5's.
