Yes. The last new rifle I bought was 28years ago- A BRNO 600 in same calibre. It was my go too rifle for all that time. I decided I deserved another one rifle/scope combo for everything before I got too old, and put quite some thought into what it would do. So the thought process was, shots out too 400 meters, no mucking around with dials, light enough to bush stalk with in hand all day, Illuminated reticle to give me a bit of extra time at the ends of the day. Also I have a german partner, so Intend to do a bit of hunting in Europe over next 10 years. I wanted a Euro style scope so Im comfortable with them in thier type of situations. Also because the 270 has lost a bit of favour, I chose it as reloading components probably wont disappear of shelves as fast as some of the newer PRC type calibers.
