    Pietta PPS 50 first gun

Hello everyone. Since i am getting my firearms licence soon I was looking around for a .22 to get and since I like WWII guns and Russian guns even more. I saw a Pietta PPS 50 that looks like the PPSH-41 from WWII and fires .22LR. But after looking around on the internet the only place I can find one is on a canadian website Marstar Canada - PPS-50 w. Wood Stock (PPS-50W)
Unfortunately to ship overseas from what i understand will cost $300USD which for a $380 gun is a bit excessive. I'm guessing these guns are pretty rare or is there somewhere in New Zealand I can find one or should I be looking for other .22's?

There was a Pietta PPS 50 in "Magnum Sports" in Stratford. It's been there for quite a while. Was still there a couple of weeks back. The phone number is (06) 7657248, and the owner is Dave. Don't think it has the 50 round magazine though.

Thanks for the heads up, my dad has bought alot of stuff from him so I know him quite well and he did have one left in stock. It is the black synthetic with a 10 round mag and a red dot sight for $799 which i'm gonna buy. I would have never found it without your help so thank you.

Hope it's not awful. Most of those rimfire clones of things tend to be Airsoft grade quality

The Pietta PPS is pretty good quality wise, not like the bloody awful Chiappa M1-22 that I've got. They have been around for about twenty years. They used to come with a fifty round drum mag back in the good old days.

..some airsoft guns are not like the others...
I have an Inokatsu M4 Airsoft gas blow back rifle, and it is indistinguishable from my real steel Bushmaster, including the action.
The reciever is licenced offically by Colt, i even tried swapping uppers and lowers, and magazines and everything fits, same with the adjustable stock, foregrip etc...
The bolt to swaps out! But it does not have a firing pin haha... Also barrel, flash hide is steel...

But all other brands are not scale 1:1 or threads not correct, dimensions slightly different etc...

I guess this is one of the exception when it comes to airsoft guns, and the price reflects it...

I've fired 25 rounds so far and the gun is quite nice. Pretty accurate, managed to hit 2/5 targets at 50 metre range and the targets are a few centimetres diameter.

Has a near red dot sight and am hopefully gonna get another magazine soon for it.

Sorry if image is too big. Oh wait its fine. Nevermind

I have come by one of these, will have a wee shoot with it next weekend to check function/accuracy etc, then it's up for a new home as daddy needs coin towards an ACOG/Elcan/haven't decided yet, but SR legal is key. It's wooden stocked (no clue what sort) and some sort of silvery finish, comes with the 50 round drum mag. Points very well, they are actually way better made than I thought too. A little scratch near the butt, but otherwise quite nice nick. Comes with a bunch of spare recoil springs ( previous owner had a recoil spring bend, wasn't sure how he did it but he ordered spares x 3 sets just in case).. E cat so P2P etc of course
