    Pimped 260

I found a model 7 260 which I had been after for a while. These are relatively heavy for their size so I decided to get Jason at Senator Stocks to make a nice new carbon fibre stock. He had just come out with a new design slim style stock which was fitted to rifle. He did a great job of bedding and fitting of action. These new carbon fibre stocks really make a rifle look like a million dollars. Anyway, enough Jibber Jabber, here's some pics.

Very nice! What was the weight saving over the standard plastic stock? I have a Mod 7 S/S in 260 and in 7 SAUM, i like them but they are heavy for the size of them.

Out of interest, are you shooting it at long range, what sort of pills are you using?

Unsure of total weight loss but rifle weighs 6 pound without suppressor or bolt. Id be picking at least a pound. Well worth it. Not using it for long range as such but will shoot deer out to 400ish meters. I'm using 120 gr sierra matchkings in it. Pretty accurate and seems to work alright on deer.

Is that coarse file or rasp marks on the port and bolt handle cutouts? Would have been nice to see that finished off a bit better.

These stocks look pretty good out of the mold but i have seen some pretty rough inletting and finishing on them and a few other nz made stocks, some real shockers actually. For a thousand bucks i would expect better. Don't want to poo on your post but if you want ooh and ahh responses then showing close ups of glaring flaws dont help. Looks like the metalwork is sitting up too far out of the stock by at least 4mm. Hopefully everything lines up properly inside with the bedding otherwise you could have problems there.

i really cant see the point of that post Kaimai .

"Don't want to poo on your post ", call me stupid if you like , but isn't that exactly what you have done?

Thats like sayin "hey boys look at my new Holden" and the boys sayin, "oh but look at these scratches on the bonnet, look at the garks on the rims bro"..........pointless.

    awesome shooter Titanium.
