    Pistol Grips & Stocks [AR15] (A-CAT)

    Okay folks,

I have a Bushmaster AR-15 (5.56 NATO) with a Spear Mags A-CAT stock & grip (see link: A Cat Multi Pack, Spear Mags Ltd - Quality Firearms and Accessories).

However, I am sick to hell of how if feels. I am over 6' tall with long arms, and just can't feel comfortable shooting with it. My mate has A-CAT 308 and 223 with other A-CAT stocks and they feel like shit too.

The only relief I can get is from an adjustable butt stock - therein lies the problem. Is there anyway around this stupid law.

I was looking on trade me and saw this ad for a shotgun grip: Click here to visit the the trademe ad

The seller states "This package does not change the existing category of your firearm as the grip is an ergonomic one, not a military free standing one" Is this possible for AR-15's? Can you add a non free standing grip with regular butt stock?

Any help would be much appreciated

Nope. Not on an A-Cat AR.

I don't think you can get much longer than the Spear stock, it's a2 length isn't it

    It's A2 minus the spacer.
Being over gunned is under rated.

It doesn't change the category because that shotgun is single shot, so it doesn't matter what it's got on it. Maybe convert your AR to single shot? This may or may not be an option for you

Why not just add a rubber but pad onto the end of your stock?
Or just get your e endorsement and out a prs or the like on there

Put it over to E category is the best option
