    Pleasantly surprising cheap 22

I picked up a Hatsan Escort bolt action 22 today from the wholesaler’s today, largely I have to say just see what it was like. I have to say initially quite impressed, unusually these days it is a full size rifle and in all honesty appears to be a copy of the renown BRNO.

Made in Turkey (aren’t they all these day) it seems relatively well made and thought out. It includes details like a second mag that is retained in the stock, an adjustable trigger (mounted in a machined aluminium housing) a full size stock with a small rail built in.

Within a couple of minutes I adjusted the trigger to give a clean 2lb pull, and whilst it’s not been tested for accuracy yet you don’t spend this sort of $ and expect a tack driver.

Retail is around $430 for a package with a scope and cheap suppressor (not as good as mine ha ha), so I would say worth a look

    Cheers
    Darren

Did you adjust that nut at the back to lighten the trigger?

Of sorts, that and the associated grub screw adjust the sear engagement, which I reduced. I then adjusted the crossed grub screw in front of the trigger to change the spring pressure.

As requested we tried it out and again pretty good for what it is, see photo, shot at 74mtrs, CCI subsonic ammo and FSS suppressor.

So would that make it a 'copy of a copy'?
