Please talk me out of it

Slipped into Reloaders late yesterday and as I was waiting to be served I noticed a a s/hand lefthanded Browning Longtrac in .270 sitting there.
Felt very nice to handle, would be classed as very good condition, but I've heard variable stories about them.
Now I really don't need another rifle, the .243 does everything at the mo, but thoughts/experiences please.

there is the weight aspect of the browning, unless you are shooting redskin and larger you dont need it.
did I also mention that longtracks come in 7rem magnum?

It was surprisingly light actually, less than 7lbs by the specs online.

Barefoot I am with Toby on this. You can't have too many rifles and I do like 270 as a calibre (i have shot more deer with 270 than any other calibre. You may not need another rifle but the only question a man really has to answer is whether he wants another rifle.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

What about thoughts on a shorttrac? I would love one in a magnum cal. But have heard the magnums arent that great for accuracy or reliability?

If logical reasoning dosent work and you still want me to talk you out of it, I can resort to personal attacks and character assassination.

Barefoot, it sounds like you are just looking for an argument. Just to say you tried not to, ... before caving into your desire for said beast.

I ain't gonna talk you out of it, and no matter how much reasoning you try to have with people they always do the opposite of what was recommended anyway so stop procrastinating and go buy the bloody rifle or someone else will.
