    Poachers life

    Hey fellas,

A good mate has a video of a poacher's vehicle last night in the Waikato region.
They shot a pet deer in the field below his home after claiming they were shooting possums.

If anyone knows who owns a grey Suzuki with rego BCR281 please Pm me.

    Cheers

I feel like this would be better given to the police than on a public forum.

Easy to find it is Grey 1992 Suzuki Escudo Nomade, with 82860Kms on the clock .

So police could be there today, but as you say, it won't happen !

Thanks for the advice gents. I also have a friend who has prosecuted poachers so I'll update if there is any news to report.

I’m sure there must be some good cops in NZ, and they have my respect, but the ones I have dealt with have been useless, lazy and disinterested.

Nothing against cops - my brother was one for 19 years in Aus. He doesn’t rate the NZ version much either.

Maybe the cop won't do a thing because they were not caught red handed.
On top of that if they feel they had been photographed they might have gotten rid of any evidence at their place.
Unless they were seen with a gun in their car or seen shooting at a stag, it might be hard to prove anything.

    Good luck anyway.

The owner of the vehicle has been in touch.
Claims that he only had a .22 in the car..... plenty of evidence at the moment and there was more than one person in the car so it will be a race to see who rats on who as no one will want the blame for this.

I have a QC looking into it. The same QC who prosecuted a poaching ring so they know their stuff and there are multiple charges that will be laid on top of the poaching charge.
