    polishing the old boy

I just received my new but second hand shotgun today in the post .The gun is a side by side Gorosabel from Spain ,27inch tubes English stock and for its older age not in bad condition really .

I would like to enhance the metal work as age has dulled it somewhat to a rust colour state on the old nickle plating if that is what it is --any ideas people on how to do this without making a complete balls up????
Tweed or not to Tweed that is the question

El B, you could have picked a less thought provoking title for this thread. I thought you had come up with another term for spanking the monkey.

Forgive my heritage here but Brasso? Silvol? Tiny little cirlces and many many hours. Seems to have worked on every kind of metal the army could throw at me.

I think it's called patina and removing it/refinishing lowers the value of the gun. Or it might just be rust. Fine line. Collectors are weird.

It's a $200 Spanish tomato stake. There is no collector anything other than the thing collecting rust
