Anyone here have one of these? If so what do you think?
They review qyuite well and look like they would make a good budget scope for 3gun etc on an AR or the like.

Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.
They're exactly the same optic as a Vortex strike eagle, just 1-8 rather than 1-6.
Hey just a brief reply as I'm on the phone but they are mint. I will be selling the vortex PST 1-4 for the one I have on test fire at the moment.
Glass is really good, the reticle with BDC is perfect for m193, SS109 and mk262mod 1/0 out to 400m so far.
Power ring is easy to use without being sloppy or requiring a throw lever.
Scope comes with covers and is pretty light. Big fan of the Chevron for aiming and it's a true 1x at the bottom end for hosing at close range.
Absolutely magic scopes and value for money hands down. Unsure of the warranty details off the top of my head but sure @Digit would look after you.
F.
I have one on order so once it turns up, I will do a write up in a couple of weeks time once I have put some rounds down range.
Sounds good. I might order one soon.
Reticle looks the same/similar to the strike eagle and that was the reason I got rid of it. Was too busy for me.
Might be worth another go considering the mag range of primary optics one.

@R93 the mag range is very good, was the main reason I wanted to check them out.
So I mounted up the scope and took it out for a blast today.
5 rounds at 50 meters then a further 5 at 200m had it right on target.
The adjustments are crisp and accurate.
First thoughts.
I really like the reticule. Looking forward to trying it on a IPSC course.
At 200 meters it makes it easy it aim small, hit small.
The illumination is day bright which is great. Some are not.
1x is from what I have seen, a true 1x.
The eye box is good at the lower setting but at 8 is a bit finicky but is usable.
At 8 power, the view is clear. It could be slightly better but again I am being picky.
It’s slightly lighter than the Vortex Strike Eagle I run on another gun. It’s quite noticeable.
Overall looking forward to putting some more rounds down range next week.
Will give another brief round up in a couple of weeks time.
A mate has one on an AR @ANTMAN
Its quite nice, instead of a central dot it as a nice little chevron which is good.
You can't go wrong with the PA 1-8x24 SFP ACSS scope, I was able to compare it side by side with the PA 1-6x24 SFP ACSS scope down at the CNIGC's rapid fire, Ken from NZAR-15 had them there.
I've also looked at the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 SFP and after many hours of watching youtube and reading up on the Vortex 1-6x24 and PA 1-6x24 they are the same scope, only difference was the reticle.
I used on my 16" CMMG AR it for the 2016 ARSA Christmas shoot, we shot from 100m 75m 50m 25m so got to use the full range of magnification.
Below is based on magnification, easy of getting into the eye box, field of view and quickly acquire the target
100m prone 8x worked well.
75m standing 4x worked well.
50m standing 4x worked well.
25m standing 2x worked well. (moving target rapid fire, 25 rounds - landed 22 scoring)
The reasons I went for the the PA 1-8 scope over the over 1-6 options
1. Range of magnification, extra 2x is tacticool
2. PA reticle is easier to use than the Vortex SE.
3. price / quality / features / reticle
4. overall size and weight is lower.
5. ACSS reticle is very useful and far better that the SE.
6. is looks the part
7. gets good reviews
8. PA do a FFP "Platinum" version of the 1-8 ACSS scope - note this is a $1.6k USD scope and is a lot better than the SFP version I'm taking about, but the way I figured is has similar design intent.
9. I was looking at more expensive options, Burris XTR 11 1-8x24, Sightron S111 1-7 X 24 IR, Leupold VX-R patrol 1.25-4x20.
10. I use the CMMG AR for many things so wanted a all round optic that if I dropped it and it was smashed I'd not be too bothered vs a $2.5k Vortex HD Gen 2
I'd say it's a upper mid range scope in terms of features, quality and price.
He are a few of the Youtube reviews I looked at to helped me decide on the PA 1-8 24x SFP ACSS
1. PA promo vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiOu2qdlpMA
2. Compare PA 1-6 and 1-8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfVEQXVxi4A
3. Review of 1-6 and 1-8 optics mid range to high end https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHzvI6zu7Mo
4. Vortex SE review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj98pMvS-tY
5. Detail on the ACSS reticle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwdlz5lUXtY
End of the day its a $800 scope not a $3k scope so there are a few things a more expensive scope will have, the main thing I keep in mind when choosing anything for my shooting is "Is it fit for purpose"
Borrowed gimps vx6 for the shoot next month in Cable Bay.
Got it zeroed today. Have to say it is really nice. And the reticle is not too busy for me.
Fired a sort of rapid, 11 rnd group at 100 using the 300 aiming mark.
4.27 secs on the timer.
Not too shabby for an AR.
I did shoot some tiny wee .4" groups when zeroing but threw 1 in 5 rounds out beyond an inch a couple times.
So not that consistent.
Could be my reloads as they were done on the Lock n Load.
Still sold on the Primary optics 1-8x
Hopefully have that in a month or so.
