    Just to update on the original post.
    I sent the Range Finder to Lacklands who organised repairs and set it back to me free of charge.
    So I appreciate their support and I also wish to acknowledge the support I recieved from Richard Wilhelm who I originally purchased it from.
    And thanks to the heads up from the guys above.
