That ain't a predrilled hole. Off to your nearest gun shop and grab a threaded sling swivel stud (the wood screw type not the fine threaded one for metal situations). Measure the shank of the screw not including the flutes of the screw, and drill the nearest oversize to that that you have in your drill box. Keep it straight up and down and strap the stock down to a wooden bench or the like (off the rifle obviously so you don't tap the bottom of the barrel with the drill bit and stuff up the finish). Just whap the drill straight through, then measure the depth of the hole and make sure that the sling swivel stud's screw length is the same or slightly shorter than the hole depth. A few drops of superglue (slower cure if you can find it) and screw the stud in fairly quickly and make sure it's aligned...
