Thread: QD mount options for a Bergara BA13 with picatinny rail

I’ve just bought a ba13 in .308 with a Burris full field 2-7x35 scope and have some experience with QD mounts. I have both the one and two piece mounts. The one piece contessa QD mount has just destroyed the (admittedly) cheap rail on my creedmoor 6.5. The leupold 2 piece rings QRW2 I’m currently using on the ba13 are working fine despite the much harsher .308 recoil. Unlike the single piece mount, the leupolds have two recoil lugs which spread the load over the rail. Much cheaper than the contessa mount and they keep their zero well. At least they did until the ba13 rail worked loose!
