About LinkBacksThey are harder can't do it the way most do with horizontal gear cutters, carbide ball nose will do it.
But wouldn't bother, factory ones are done before hardening, doing a standard one your asking for a lemon accuracy wise.
Threading them is easy with modern carbide tooling, hss is thing of the past almost
