Hi all and I know this has been asked but I cannot find.
I have a new CDS VX3i scope and have arrived at a load worthy of doing the custom turret with soon. Do I send just the voucher and cap away or do they need the whole scope?
Cheers.

Was more about having a Zero stop?

Why do you have to send in your original moa cap?? I thought just the voucher and load details?
I am thinking of going with a MOA dial with a zero stop cos I can't settle on just one load. Has anybody had this done and do they have a photo of the resulting cap? Are the hash marks any clearer and are numbers labeled more frequently?
The big weakness of this system is there is no way to lock the turret so the it can move when you carry the rifle. Having a zero stop helps with that because it makes it easier to check.

as for a "zero stop", use Burris Signature Zee rings...
on all my rifles I have a label on the elevation turret top that simply says something like 100yds = up 12. if I am ever concerned about being a revolution out, I dial back to physical stop, and then up 12 if that is what the label tells me. with burris rings you can get this down to a couple of moa up, always a good idea to wind down below actual zero and couple up.
this of course assumes that the scope has decent repetable turrets and does not keep clicking once the reticle stops moving - oh jay, i coached a club mate with one of these last weekend, no matter how much more we dialed up the poi stayed the same

Most of my shots are inside of 200 yards. I am sending mine back to Leupold and I am going to pay them to convert it back to a finger click. I dislike the tiny little Allen wrench and various dails......I don't have the patience for such nonsense. I go by the K.I.S.S. rule:
"Keep it simple stupid".
