A question on your shooting using nv techniques

White hot, and I adjust the brightness/contrast at the start of each hunt.

Black hot, as that seems to give better definition of the surrounding terrain as well

Yes. I prefer white hot but if the atmosphere is hazy black is the sharpest for me.
