    I had a simialr thing.

ring nzpost, the usps I think hands it over to NZpost.

"why would of it departed Auckland? maybe just to the mail handling centre"

At that point it gets handed to NZ post and USPS stops tracking it.

If you ring NZ post and quote your tracking number you should find its on the way.

I had some Enfield sights sent via USPS and it looked just like this but even more tortious, It took 2 weeks to leave the US from the time the guy posted it.

Start the track on www.nzpost.co.nz , that's who it's with now. The "departed Auckland"will be the transfer to the mail system. Be prepared to wait a week, if not longer as the postal system can take ages since they consider a USPS parcel as a low priority.

It goes through the Intl Mail Distribution Center at the Intl Airport. Goes from there to the NZ Post Distribution Center at HighBrook ( on the Tamaki Estuary ).
When it enters the NZ Post system it's given another tracking #, the prefix of which will match the despatch priority it had out of the U.S.
    0800 736 353 or 0800 501 501 are the NZ Post numbers.
They get you to put in your tracking # without any prefix.
If you're still in Helensville I'd expect delivery this week, unless they've been passed to Customs, in which case you'll get a letter from them in due course........

I've been waiting on a parcel. Says it cleared NZ customs on the 27th, Nek Minit, next log in the tracking says landed in Sydney on the 29th. Hope it finds its way back to NZ soon.

Some shipments are pre-cleared, on the basis of content and value by the handler.
This precedes the actual arrival of the goods in NZ and " expedites " the process.....not saying this has happened in your case but it's standard practice .

That makes sense. It supposedly landed in NZ the day after it left the US. Possible of course, but unlikely without paying extra for the shipping. It is apparently back in NZ today, four days from being shipped by the seller. Still pretty good going I would say.

We are talking 2 days ago yes?? And we had a weekend yes?? I would say without panicking you will have it wed/Thurs. I would panic if it has been in nz and you still dont have it 2 weeks after getting here not 2 days. I know ya can't wait etc but no point stressing
