Thread: Quick attach set up for harris bipod

I am over the clumsy slingswivel attachment for my harris bipod, I have a couple of questions. I am looking for something like this to attach a picatinny rail to my sling swivel. Can someone suggest a good, cheap lightweight one preferably with a slingswivel stud included. I then wondered about getting something like this again can any one advise?

Finally I did wonder if I should ditch the harris and move to something else like an atlas, except I have the harris, and I already bought the gunworks spikes and podlock for it. Are there other bipods that are truly head and shoulders above the harris?

This is what I used to attach an Atlas clone to my CZ. Unfortunately it has 2 issues - Amazon will not ship it to NZ (I think I snuck it thru YouShop earlier on) and it doesn't have a QD Stud usable once attached. Will give you an idea I guess at any rate. My Harris was a much more friendly chappy once I got a pod loc and replaced the stupid attachment/tensioning screw with a knurled head screw. I started out with a fixed Harris and hated it (actually not a big fan of bi-pods despite having a Harris and an Atlas clone) and changed it for a swivel. The smart ass at Reloaders said "I told you so".

The solution would be to get one of these picatinny adaptors and to fit a second QD stud as is available on some brands of rifle now.

1+ look for the model with notched legs, works great on uneven ground
