Thread: Quick Barrell length question.

Hi all

I have a 6.5 x 55 with barrel length of 22 3/4 " from breach face to barrel end that I m gonna fit a suppresser to and the suppresser goes past barrel by
155. mm so effectively adds that to barrel length. How much would you shorten the barrel by if any, so it still retains velocity and accuracy etc ?
It will be used with two loads 140 AMAX as I see from comments in another thread the thread suggests they are a good projectile and will reload them to achieve 1750 or less fps.
I d like to try some on the AMAX 110 s as well at some point for smaller game like goats and fallow but these would be sub 150 meter shots at first.
