    R93 recoil pad

I've recently purchased an older R93 with the synthetic stock .
I'm a tall guy and the stock is to short for me and the original pad is quite thin .
Do any of you guys know if there is a after market pad that will go straight on my rifle to increase the length of it and give a bit more recoil absorbing .
I've put a number of recoil pads on other rifles before and have all the gear to grind ta new pad to fit , but just thought I'd do some homework first .
If I do end up grinding a new pad to fit I'll have to epoxy something inside the stock to screw the new pad to , and I'll be left with the lip at the end of the stock still visible .
    Any suggestions ?

    Ken

Limbsaver makes pads to fit R93's which must be newer and different from mine , they are pads which are held on by screws , but my pad sort of clips on over a lip at the end of the stock , I can put a grind to fit one on quite easily but if there is something out there already designed for the job I'll use it .

The Limbsavers fit the later Offroad Professional not the original Offroad.
Your stock will need the larger original spacer. The plastic bit that fits in the stock. It will also need the longer rubber pad too I think. I have not seen one but I'm sure they were an available item. Looking at the plastic insert mine has M or something like that moulded into it so I assume this is a mid or med spacer. You must be big though as mine is 13.6" LOP standard. Most off the shelf rifles are lucky to make 13".
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

We should swap stocks Ken? My one has a limb saver fitted and it is slightly to long for me for unsupported shooting.
It is a simple fix to lengthen it but I don't have pics of mine to show you. The dovetailing is all cut off of mine.

Fitted a grind to fit limb saver on mine R93 about 5 Yrs ago. Cut the lip off then screwed and glued limb saver on , I was a bit apprehensive doing this to $4k new rifle at the time but have never regretted it since.
