Ive got some one piece 30mm optilocks on my T3 but have not got the elevation left in my vortex that i'd like.
Question is what would be an advisable set up in terms of say a 20 moa rail and rings/bases?
Or does anyone have something to swap for my opti's?
Yep egw 20 Moa rail and loopy prw steel mounts hard to beat. I don't have any spares but that's works for me !
What would you estimate that set up to cost? Where did you get yours?

If not Waitaki Engineering make rails for the tikka and pairs of 30mm leupy pqr rings are easy to find at my place, even some Burris Custom turn ins with 0 and 10moa inserts, if you get the bases to fit, are about somewhere.
Also checked before I posted
Have a new pair of Burris 30mm Xtreme Tactical low that should give you enough if you go the 20 moa rail of whose ever manufacture.
Don't have a rail other Wise I would but using all mine The rings I have are not on a gun at present. So you'd still need to find 20 Moa rail

If it's 50 mm with low rings and egw rail it should be ok if it's 40 mm sometimes bit gappy to barrel. Let us know what you want for your rings cash wise when you ready. Talk to Reloaders David will tell you what rings to suit scope plus rail etc he seems to know off by heart

What year is it gibo? After 2005 it has a different thread to pre.
I can't remember which one is which, but think pre '05 has a thread pitch of 0.9mm
And post '05 had a pitch of 1mm.

@Gibo, i have the "similar" setup, i have the 20MOA rail and a Vortex HS-T 44 and a PST 50 on top my rifles and i use Weaver medium rings and Vortex Tactical medium rings.Quote:

Hi Gibo, I will have some more of the EGW 20moa rails for the T3 in stock later this week. These will be the more expensive but better quality HD version (heavy duty) that have the full width slots on them. I don't usually bother with the cheaper standard model bases now especially for magnums or LR rifles - have seen too many of them buggered up by the rings under recoil.Quote:
