Vectronix Vector 23 Costs almost $1000 Nz dollars a yard in capability:wtfsmilie:
MFC's and Foo's would be all over those. Half the size and weight of the old issue ones.
I was pretty chuffed with the rating of the Bushnell 1600.
I only got as far as the eye test thing.
Quite a good idea but doesn't take into account natural colour and light gathering... Or was that later?
I sold a pair of the ARCS, before I got my Swaro's. They out ranged my mates HD's every time but I never rated the glass at all.
Had a green hue to them iirc. I thought they were good binos and they worked as promised. But no where near as good they were rated on that review.
Could have just been mine as I never compared them to another set. They were new when I bought them so one can only assume. Don't get me wrong they are very good bino's but miles behind what I have now.
I had heard about the colour bleed before I bought mine but I trialled a pair that Barefoot has for a week or so and never saw a problem so got mine. If the problem does exist then I cannot detect it. They are obviously not the best rangefinder Bino's in creation but they are better than good enough for me.
Now that you mention it I think he did tell me that he got them from you for a song. Maybe it is just the fact that I see in grey scale that causes them to be OK for me. They are going to get a bit of a work out tomorrow as a few fellah's are come over to set some gongs a swinging.
Have seen a fair few reviews where the green colour of the Bushnells was mentioned but still worked very well. I'd be tempted at the right price.
