yip - i understand what ya sayin but most comments have missed my post regarding my Zeiss Terra 3-9x42 scope i have with me.

so il skimp on the rifle as ive got Ads here for 2nd handys and looked on trade me but cant contact anyone, all the local gun shops has SFA in terms of 2nd handers for reasonable prices, some cases better off payin $200 more for a brand new of the same model etc. no doubt got traded in for dirt cheap

Good rings are worth it too - I actually use 1 scope between 2 rifles and just swap them - re-dial and good to go

What cal are you after - a mate generally has stuff for sale - often European rifles

yeah interesting with the scope on scope off job, but not a bad idea !

i actually purchased a Rifle today- bit the bullet while the Sale was on! i ended up with a 270 winchester Cal.

Yeah do it all the time - scope lives off the rifle as well
My clients do the same you just need true rails and proper QD rings

It’s a good way of getting more use out of one rifle or scope
