    Ranger Scopes

Has anyone tried out the Ranger Scopes from Gun City? Are they any good?

    https://www.guncity.com/ranger-4-12x...e-scope-221404

They have a 10 year warranty so they can't be too shit, but they are Chinesium clones of I think Leopolds someone told me.

The one i played with was shithouse, and that's being generous. Would have been better of taping a toilet roll to the top of your gun.

Would look at one of the tried and true entry level scopes for that money, Bushnell, vortex, sightron, athelon all offer scopes in that price range.

I think they are the same thing you get o Ali-express for a friction of the money. (and, on a separate note Ali-express has some far better scopes)

A friend has a 3-9 ranger that came with his Ruger 10/22 package, , after one use in light rain it fogged up and the fog never went away. I told him to get a Nikon rimfire scope, it was far superior.

I had one on a 7mm08 howa. Was my first rifle and scope. I Di ged my rifle on my first outing and after that it wouldn't hold a zero. Replaced it with a zeiss. I've put it on my .22 But notnused my 22 since then so can't say if it will hold or not. The boys at gun city ar great, but don't get a ranger!

Full disclosure I made this thread because I was thinking of getting this package https://www.guncity.com/mossberg-pat...calibre-330468 which comes with a Ranger scope.

Now I'm leaning more towards this though https://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/hun...8c99a569c3-001 which comes with a Nikko Stirling Gameking 3-9x40.

Just ask to change the scope out to what you want . Nothing to say you have to have the exact package offered .
    Leupold freedoms are reliable .

have a feel of both of them work the bolt shoulder them and see how they feel id be more inclined to go for the howa know a few people that have those sonics and they like them later down the track you can put the nikko stirling on a 22 or something and upgrade the howas scope if you feel it needs it
