Just picked up a very early Anshultz? Hard to spell without looking, has the target action$475.00 .i found I could outshoot my Norinco.

0000 steel wool is apparently not good on the lungs (the loose fibres I mean - can't imagine you trying to inhale a whole piece of it). I use it on wood - and have been advised by several suppliers now when purchasing to absolutely ensure I wear a suitable face mask.

Yup, fine steelwool also gets embedded in the wood, and in a couple of months your lovely piece of furniture starts to rust

Have a look at the 3M synthetic sanding pads, should find them in the paint section at Mitre or Bunnings. The grey one is about 600 grit, and the white one is around 1000 grit. Very good, and lasts for a looooong time.
