    rechamber - gunsmith in palmy/manawatu

    Does anyone know of a business or local who does rechambering in the manawatu? And maybe pricing the job

    Based in Kapiti Coast but does good work.
    Had x4 rifles done so far with another the near future

    Yea kinda don't want to go hardy, there's a guy in akl but that's way to far for my liking.. heard about an Allan Carr out in waikanae, but seems like everyone's recommending Jaco ����

    Allen Carr is a very experienced gunsmith who lives at Paraparaumu Beach.

    Just curious, this seems to imply that most things done in kapiti aren't up to standard

    What chamber are you going to get done. Mike Collings in Whakatane has most reamers.

    I shouldn't have to explain it, but English and punctuation be strange beasts. Based in kapiti but does good work implies that despite being based in kapiti he does good work compared to the usually standard that comes from there. Which tarnishes a the reputation of the good folk of the kapiti coast, unless if course it's true

    I am still trying to work out how you read it that way haha

    As I see it is he means he not in Manawatu but in Kapiti

    I read it as per the original intent, but I also see the likeness to the old saying

    ‘He is a slow worker but he does a rough job’
