Of course, I forgot Jaco, but I was not sure of how close the poster wanted to drive to get work done.
100% Recommend jaco, don’t waste your dollars with the hardy clowns.
Yea kinda don't want to go hardy, there's a guy in akl but that's way to far for my liking.. heard about an Allan Carr out in waikanae, but seems like everyone's recommending Jaco
Cheers fellas really appreciate it!
Allen Carr is a very experienced gunsmith who lives at Paraparaumu Beach.
What chamber are you going to get done. Mike Collings in Whakatane has most reamers.
I shouldn't have to explain it, but English and punctuation be strange beasts. Based in kapiti but does good work implies that despite being based in kapiti he does good work compared to the usually standard that comes from there. Which tarnishes a the reputation of the good folk of the kapiti coast, unless if course it's true
It's a slow morning here, as you may have guessed🙂
Would see me going 223 to 223 wylde. Thanks for everyone's replies
Whoever thought this simple request for a gunsmith would turn into an English lesson!
My old English teacher, Mad Murray McRae, was a real stickler for things like this. He was adamant that it was pure laziness to use brackets, and "Boy, why use 'but' when you should be using 'and'!!" - spoken in an utterly disdainful English accent.
I can read it both ways, but/and you can remove all doubt by saying "Jaco is based in Kapiti, and does good work..."
I might actually get in touch with Jaco after all this. Sounds like he is very good, despite being based in Kapiti...
