Thread: Recoil Pad size?

I have a HighTech Specialties stock that needs a recoil pad. I've decided to get a Pachmayr Decelerator but I don't know what size I need.

I was just being impatient. I will measure the butt when I get home. I wanted to order one today. Tomorrow will do.

Anyone use a Decelorater? Nice and cushie?

My McMillan edge stock on my 7mm08 uses a 1/2" thick decellerator - It has a little give but not great. I'd use a 1" thick one or better still use a Limbsaver!

I was planning on getting a 1". Should be nice and soft to protect my girly shoulders from the .260's massive recoil.

Y dont u grab a limbsaver grind to fit? Or email richard wilhelm with which u want... He has an uncanny ability to pull what you want out of god knows where and get it right....

Are Limbsavers any better? Might try Richard.

I have used them on two rifles now and reccomended them to a .270wsm owner and a 7mm mag owner... In all cases we were very pleased with the difference they made...
