    Red Dot Sights

Any of you knowledgeable chaps (and chapesses) know if there is a red dot sight available with the dot smaller than 1moa.
My mate has a Henry lever action in .22 mag and because of his 68 year old eyesight, the open sights are blurry. He's put a rail on it and a scope but the scope is a complete waste of time as it sits way to high above the stock, and if you use low mounts then the hammer is inaccessible.
I suggested a red dot but most seem to have a dot that would virtually cover a rabbit (or similar) at 100 yds, which would be hopeless
Thought I saw one on here that was on a .308 for bush hunting, but may have my wires crossed.
    Any thoughts.......??

Without doing hours of research, I would say no, 2MOA is the smallest you'll find.
If the dot is too small (i.e. 1MOA or so) it will not be as quick and easy to pick up, which defeats the purpose of having the dot in the first place!

From experience, a 2MOA on a rifle is more than adequate for Minute of Rabbit, as long as you and your rifle are capable of the same accuracy.

    I run a sheild sms, has a 2MOA dot.

I'm not aware of any 1 MOA offerings currently. The other option would be to look at 1-6 or 1-8 optic that has a illuminated reticle which would be something to consider.

I have never seen anything smaller than 2 Moa. I run vortex, holosun and c-more versions on a variety of firearms.
Regarding the size of the dot, it is possible to shoot smaller groups than the dot size.
A variable 1-4 power scope with a day bright illuminate reticle may be a better option.

Even with a small dot, any imperfection in your eye will exacerbate things, and the dot may appear blurry, star shaped or oblong - if you have astigmatism a red dot will let you know! Best to bear in mind that red dot sights are designed for close quarter shooting, and are fine for rabbits - just as long as they are relatively close!

I was able to consistently get 1moa groups at 100, with a CZ 22 and a red dot with a 2 moa dot. Surprisinlgy more accurate than you think.

Get one that you can turn down the brightness on the dot. I have a holosun and with that adjusted down you can hit your mark (if you have a big high contrasting target about A3 in size).

Lower the scope and put a hammer spur on it.
