    Refurbishing Leupold scopes

Hey guys i have been gifted a vari-x 111 1.5-5 and it is in used condition and parts of the reticle are faded on the posts. Is there a place i can get the scope refurbished in NZ or do i have to try send to Leupold in the states? Who has had success dealing with them directly? Emailed them once about something else and never heard back.

send it back to loopy...it will come back better than new...cost you freight and take a while but well worth the wait.

I sent back a Vari-II 2-7 Leupold for an internal scope problem about 4 - 5 years ago, directly to Leupold in the USA. I got it back in about 10 days, with the list of work done, and no charge. I sent back a Vari-III 2.5-8 about a year ago to Leupold to have a lens replaced (had a scratch on the lens) and they sent a new V3 back in about a week, no charge.

After my mate dropped my rifle and dented my VX2, I sent it to Leupold and they refurbished it and sent it back for the freight charge to send to the USA only.

Wilhelm arms and optics in Christchurch is a scope guru/god. I haven't been there for years and he is running at a limited capacity after the quake but he could certainly tell you how to go about it. He da man.

I delivered a VX2 1966 vintage to leopold as I was staying in Portland Had a great natter about scope as it was off my rifle I used for commercial hunting through to the late 70s. the adjustments stuffed up. No problem they repaired it and refurbished it at the same time.
So Leopold absolutly fantastic for there warrenty cover.
Send direct to Leopold Beverton Portland Origon USA.

I have inherited a 1989 leupold vari x 111 in 1.5-5x20 that has a dot inside the reticle post when you look at it against a darker background. If it has issues holding zero etc. will return but really only cosmetic damage to scope tube and turret caps
