So Scott’s lightweight build has got me all hot and bothered. I now have a new itch to scratch.
I’ll be planning to build something similar to his but on a Remington 700 SA action.
My current setup has a blind mag (5 rounds) which is fine for general hunting, and easy to carry without a mag protruding.
This is all well and good, but I also do a bit of spotlighting for wallabies down here. And the ability to have 10 rounds at the ready with easier reloading would be awesome.
My question is this:
Is there a bottom metal that can take flush mags (for when I’m carrying in the hills) that I can also get an extended 10 round mag for when I’m spotlighting in the truck?
Appreciate your thoughts.
