Hi just wondered if anyone with older(100 years...)have used Renaissance wax, and what they think of it on steel, and wood instead of oil etc

I've used it occasionally over the years on expensive wood/blue rifles that didn't see much use and were mainly "safe queens".

It's a good product and used correctly, will protect wood and steel. Having said that, I see it more as another option and not a substitute for oil and/or grease when protecting bolt internals etc.
