Hey. I have a few rub marks on my scope in the usual places. Has anyone been able to come up with something a bit more durable or long term than just putting a sharpie over it?

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

There is a stuff called Aluminium black. Gun shops will have it or you can borrow mine.
I've got Birchwood Casey's touch up pen. It's OK but eventually wipes off if wiping scope wih oily rag.
Can also use a black permananent marker but the colour match is terrible.

I might add that rub marks are impossible to effectively cover up. The BW product is more suited to chips on for example turret caps.
Ive tried that aluminium black with little success. Ended up using black etch primer
Black electrical tape or bike tube.
