    Requesting Suggestions for Rifle Shipping

    Hi Guys,
    Looking for reasonably priced options for sending ( courier ) a rifle from South Auckland / Auckland area to Hunting & Fishing in Blenheim.
    I assume that Dealer to Dealer might be the best, maybe only, option ?
    I asked Reloaders Supplies. It seems indeed their current charge is $100.00 for this service. I don't expect anyone to do this for free but seeking an affordable means.
    I will go to Reloarders Supplies if there is no alternative.
    Please feel free to PM if you don't want to post here.
    Many thanks.

    @DeonK
    That's an option that I might use, thanks. Just thought I would ask in case anyone has a brilliant solution.
    H&F Franklin are quite close to me and would be easy to use.
    Cheers

    Go to Hunting and Fishing Franklin and ask them to send it to Hunting & Fishing Blenheim. They charge $50. You need to give them a copy of the police form with the rifle.

    Pretty sure this is not correct. A police form is a confirmation of a valid FAL when not dealing person to person. When you present the firearm over the counter, the staff can verify your actual license.

    Legally that may be the case, but I know every gunshop that I have sent through required the form before they accepted it. They need to know the recipient purchaser has a FAL. It may sound silly but the reasoning is if they dont and you send the firearm- It arrives and the buyer doesn't have a license- they cannot hand over the firearm to them...and WHO gets the flak? Who does the buyer get angry with? I can tell you it is not the seller all the way up in AKL...It is the poor guy behind the counter because the firearm is there in the store. And next - What do they do with a firearm they dont own?

    It actually why a lot of stores didnt want to be involved - there were instances of the buyer demanding a refund from the store when they decided it wasn't what they wanted....or being asked to fix it when they never sold it to start with....

    I think there needs to be some gratitude towards business that have stepped up and are doing this. I know its not cheap, but we do need these businesses to stay in business because without them our sport really takes a hit...

    My rifle needs to be sent for gunsmithing work, then returned to me. I have not sold this, or a, rifle.
    I asked H&F Franklin whether the Police form is necessary and it isn't according to them as no firearm sale is involved.
