Are those Portuguese or German manufactured G3s?

During the Rhodesian War my dad was on occasion issued a Portuguese manufactured G3, (no doubt donated by the Porraz when they pulled out of Moz). It was not well-liked when compared to the FN FAL they were usually issued. I think from memory the SA Marines were issued with G3s during their short existence. I don't know what country they were manufactured in though.
