    I think he will do more harm than good and divide the shooting community.
    I'd not put much stock on forum bans. What qualification does it take to be a forum mod? No offense intended.

    Division in the shooting community is not helped much by sentiments "like my shooters rights organisation is better than yours", and personal dislikes are just personal dislikes, no more than that... until we throw fellow shooters under the bus because we dislike them.

    RL is no more of a dick than most lawyers, and lawyers are over-represented among politicians. This is not a popularity contest, just about equal treatment.

    So basically you are saying that the NSA is a limp-wristed, left-wing, academic group ?

    Coz acting on behalf of others, for their supposed benefit (even if they don't want you to, because you claim to know what is better for them) is exactly what the NSA does

    I realise that you come from a country where English is a second language, but you have, yet again, put an incorrect meaning on plain English words. Richard Lincoln never said he was 'representing' anyone, and neither did I. What I said, in essence, was that the NSA took action in instances where the Police had been making decisions that were outside their legal powers (ie: ultra vires) in relation to the administration of the Arms Act. There was never any claim to be 'representing' anyone, but rather instituting action to ensure that the rule of law is followed and we do not become a Police State. The decisions are in the interests of all firearms owners, but no claim is made to be 'representing' them. I am sure that no-one is of the opinion that the NSA is 'limp-wristed', 'left wing', or 'academic'!

    Ah gundoc, just messing with you dude...

    Comprehension does not seem to be a strong point for you. Where in post 81 did I mention "represent" ?

    Looking at a couple of antonyms, would you be happier with rigid,right-wing and unscholarly ? Sound about right ?

    @ebf

    What happened to the happy wee gnome? Nice FN FAL type sight - except the aim is a bit high.

    I personally think the NSA would be in a good position to represent everyone - after all they read all our emails, faxes, ebay purchases, and probably also our electronic health records.

    And calling yourself a liberal while not supporting the rights of the individual doesn't seem that academic to me.. maybe you ain't qualified to offer any opinion on much.

    Mind you you are not alone .... probably just like every other socialist fool who thinks that abdicating choice in favour of the group is "progressive" and not just part of an ongoing regressive failure.

    I think you mean reactionary failure. Me, I'm taking names down in my little red book, for when the proletariat rises to overthrow the evil capitalist bourgeoisie, Pravda loads all ready. Oops! I just noticed I'm about 70 years out of sync.

    @Sidney, really ? Do you even understand what a classical liberal is ? I fully support my right to have my own views and not having to be lumped with a group who thinks they have the right to speak on my behalf... Maybe I should update my handle to "The slightly anarchic, neo-classical liberal gnome".

    What is sad is that I see no difference between the groups you guys love to hate, and the organization that you are so quick to defend. They both operate in exactly the same way, and yet you completely fail to see the irony

    Personally, I'd put Bieber in that category, just saying...
