Does anyone know if I need a permit/licence to import?

Yeah I probably would but the Timney is a 1.5 - 4 LB trigger while the LV 1 is 8 oz to 1.5LB

Yeah I want a pound or a bit more, I reckon it is better to be at the heavier end of the adjustment, rather than the lighter end. Rifle basix is a good price though US$140 including shipping.

If you order them and go see arms officer about a permit you have to send it to them.. Then dont quote me but a fee at their end for export permit.... Time..... More fees and time at our end!!!

There was a thread on it bout two months ago if u can find it

Rifle basix make a good adjustable trigger and i use mine at 8oz, there is no creep and crisp as letoff, BUT there is a lot of sideplay in the trigger shoe itself, needed shimming to get that out of it, once done its nicer to use.

The Jewel is better obviously, and it diddnt need any sideplay shimmed out of it, i also use it at 8oz and they feel almost identical to use, they are both set at 8oz exactly on a digital scale, but the jewell still feels lighter at letoff. No need to lube either trigger.

Mitch Maxbury does hell deals on the Jewell and the rifle Basix is cheap from overseas.

I recently imported a couple of ERV-3 K Rifle Basix triggers very nice to use, I found I needed to give them a minor adjustment out of the box because I could fire the rifle by tapping the action or cycling to roughly.

I got a rifle basix sent straight to me a couple of years ago. Didn't need (get) an import permit.

I got a trigger direct from rifle basix about 18 months ago, came straight in no worries. I was a little disappointed with it to be honest, had a bit of creep before let off. It broke crisp though. I think it may well have been a Monday/Friday trigger? Others I have used seemed to be better. The worked Remington trigger I am now using is better I think... Jewells are hard to beat though...
