    Rifle Cleaning Marathon

I had a bit of spare time today and decided to give all my rifles a good cleaning.

Phew!!!! What a mission that was.

Does it mean you have too many rifles when you start cleaning them at 10:00 and don't finish until 14:40?

    I hope not.

Although her who thinks I have one or two gun thingies nearly tumbled me during the cleaning process ...... just got the safe door closed in time and she only spied the two I was working on.

All the Rifles are sparkling clean now, Mum still thinks I have one or two gun thingies and it looks like were off to an Hawaiian Theme party tonight so all's good with the world again.

Might get leied tonight as well

    Cheers
    Pete

Had a good go through last Saturday, was only gonna do the .22 but got on a roll. Was lucky too, SKS had corrosion in the gas tube, was good to catch it early.

Jeez Pete how many rifles do you have? 280 minutes rifle cleaning the Rushy way would be about 20 of the buggers so there must be quite a few more than the couple that your Missus knows about.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

hahahaha there is more than two............ maybe even more the a dozen Rushy.

I'm a total gun slut..... can't seem to say no.

Seems every time I open the safe there's another one or two in there.

I reckon they breed in the darkness.

First time I cleaned them all at once.

I had a shower and still smell like Hoppes #9 ... hope the girlies like Hoppes that when I dance with them tonight or I might just have to sit and drink beer while I watch them dance .

Next time I'll just stick to cleaning a couple at a time.

    Cheers
    Pete

Yep I've got to a stage that I take a max of two out with BP shooting, get home at 2 PM and finished cleaning 3:30 then have to do my brass. Shooting half a dozen would take till midnight! I've been told I sort check if I'm really into it!

    Nice work P38!
I always think it funny when you see forum posts on "should I buy and gun safe" ... as apposed to a rack. The answer is always HELL YES so the Mrs doesn't know how many guns of have! I now have too many so had to shift a couple shotties to my duck shooting mate's safe.
BTW - did you clean the bores on any .22's?

    VC

Yes these rifles had all been cleaned when they went into the safe.

This was a re=clean and re-oil job after the winter.
