    tikka s/s 308 -7mm08 good starting point vx1 3x9. suppressor later on. Or go second hand and buy a complete package already set up.
    308 has more factory ammo, so better chance of finding a store with ammo on the shelf.
    I wouldn't put him in to a 270 and wouldn't go any lighter just my personal opinion
