Rifle Value?
Hi Guys,
In your opinions what's my rifle worth to sell and is anyone interested in taking it off my hands, only looking to sell as I'm looking for a smaller caliber for shooting fallow.
Remington CDL-F Boone and Crockett edition in .270
Fluted barrel shortened to 16" with stealth suppressor, weaver 30mm rings, Kahles Helia 2.2-9x42 heavy duplex reticle steel tube still have original box, bipod, sling, it's only had 60-70 rounds down it.
Shoots like a dream have been running the federal Berger hybrid 140's

Keep it. Drop down to 110gnrs at about 3000fps and you'll have equivalent to a 708/243. Dropping too a 223 is really the only way too make a significant step in power and recoil. Recoil with 110's won't be much. Just choose a toughest projectile to minimize meat danage. Then you'll see a great fallow buck at 400yrds and wished you had the 270.
Mr Duck will put you on the right track

Think you'd be disappointed in what you might get for it. If you're hell bent on selling it Id drop the scope and rings, and the bipod. Bare rifle and suppressor might be more sell-able.
270 with a suppressor isn't to bad to shoot so the idea of some 100 or 110 gr projectiles with a mild load will shoot all the Fallow you'll see

I've been running 110 ttsx in a 270 for some years and shot plenty of fallow and red hinds out to 250 and it smokes them without huge meat loss like a fast cup and vore 130's.
Your set up would work well and the recoil would be minimal.
If you reload or have a mate that does thats the route I'd be considering.
